Day 1: Arrival at NJP/Bagdogra – Darjeeling
70 kms / 3 hrs
Arrive at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport. Meet our representative and transfer to Darjeeling, a scenic hill town surrounded by tea gardens. Check in at your hotel and relax. Enjoy the evening strolling around the Mall Road. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 2: Darjeeling Sightseeing
Local sightseeing
Early morning visit to Tiger Hill for sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga. On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast, explore Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan Refugee Centre, and Tea Garden. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 3: Darjeeling – Kalimpong
60 kms / 2.5 hrs
After breakfast, drive to Kalimpong, a hill station known for its orchids and monasteries. Visit Durpin Monastery, Pine View Nursery, and Deolo Hill. Enjoy scenic views of the Himalayas. Overnight stay in Kalimpong.
Day 4: Kalimpong – Pelling
95 kms / 4 hrs
After breakfast, drive to Pelling, a peaceful town in West Sikkim famous for its panoramic view of the Kanchenjunga range. On arrival, check in at your hotel. Evening free to explore the surroundings. Overnight stay in Pelling.
Day 5: Pelling Sightseeing
Local sightseeing
After breakfast, visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins, Khecheopalri Lake, and Kanchenjunga Waterfalls. Later, explore the Singshore Bridge, one of the highest suspension bridges in Asia. Return to the hotel for overnight stay in Pelling.
Day 6: Pelling – Gangtok
130 kms / 5 hrs
After breakfast, drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. En route, enjoy views of the Teesta River. On arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. In the evening, explore MG Marg. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 7: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir
55 kms / 3 hrs (one way)
After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake, located at 12,400 feet. Visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir nearby. Enjoy snow-capped mountain views and return to Gangtok by evening. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 8: Gangtok – Lachung
120 kms / 5.5 hrs
After breakfast, drive to Lachung, located in North Sikkim. En route, stop at Singhik View Point, Seven Sisters Waterfall, and Naga Waterfall. On arrival, check in at your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Lachung.
Day 9: Excursion to Yumthang Valley
25 kms / 1 hr (one way)
After breakfast, visit Yumthang Valley, also known as the Valley of Flowers, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and alpine meadows. Enjoy the natural hot springs and breathtaking beauty. Return to Lachung for overnight stay.
Day 10: Lachung – Gangtok
120 kms / 5.5 hrs
After breakfast, drive back to Gangtok. Check in at the hotel and relax after the journey. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 11: Gangtok – NJP/Bagdogra Departure
125 kms / 5 hrs
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey, ending your Hills of North East India Tour with lasting memories of the Himalayas.
